What happens when people decide to plant forests instead of fields — and grow food the way nature already knows how?
Food Forest Future – A Forest to Feed Us is a long-term observational documentary following the creation of two food forests — one in the Sonoran Desert around Phoenix, Arizona, one in Lüneburg, Germany. Instead of rows and monocultures, the people at the center of the film plant layered, self-sustaining forests that feed people and heal soil at the same time.
Filmed over almost seven years, this is my first feature documentary — combining the observational patience of long-form filmmaking with the research instincts of my journalistic background.

Director's Statement
I started filming Food Forest Future because I kept meeting people who had quietly stopped waiting for someone else to fix the food system, and started replanting it instead. I wanted to follow that patience on camera — the kind of change that doesn't happen in a season, but in decades, tree rings, and second thoughts.
